After some trial and error in the Gallatin County with dental offices, I can confidently say that Shine Dental is where I will be going from now on. My experience was incredible, and the staff was more than accommodating every step of the way. Dr.Taylor was thorough and answered any questions I had. Danielle was my hygienist, and she truly made me feel so comfortable and well taken care of. The service here is unmatched. Their equipment and office setting is well put together. I have an aesthetic consultation with Dr. J coming up and I think it is so convenient and incredible that my dental office offers all of these services. I just have to give a huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful people at Shine Dental.

Amazing and super friendly staff. The service and flexibility with scheduling is also amazing. The dentist is knowledgeable and is pretty great at what he does. They're at the cutting edge of dentistry tech (as far as I know), and have their own equipment to make fillings and teeth parts so you know it'll be a quick visit and you're out of the door with a great smile. Would recommend this place to anyone I know!!

I am so impressed with Shine Dental. The staff is great, Dr. J is a perfectionist in the best way possible, and the practice uses modern technology. I had some cosmetic dentistry completed and the end result looked and felt amazing.

I cannot recommend this place enough!! Everyone from front desk to hygienist to doctor is so incredibly sweet and welcoming. They always want to make sure you’re comfortable, ask what music you want playing, etc. My best friend and I got our cleanings here and have been recommending them to everyone we know! Absolutely adore this place & the staff.

This is not a paid review, I’m being genuine. These are the best people in dentistry. I had awful experiences before especially as a child of abuse. As a child, I had to take myself to the dentist. Those dentists traumatized me so much and my abuse continued. I was so ashamed of my teeth as an elder now and this place saved my life. God bless everyone here. If you’re scared like I was, this is the place to go.

Oh my goodness what an incredible dentist office!! I have severe anxiety, and the entire staff at Shine made me feel so at ease, comfortable, safe and not judged. Dr Taylor is incredibly kind, explains what is happening to make you feel comfortable, and so gentle. I had not been to the dentist in 10 years and needed a lot of dental love, starting with a tooth extraction. The entire experience was easy, comfortable, and full of such kind staff. I honestly think this experience eliminated my dental anxiety! They provided an extensive care plan and are so accommodating. Shine is 20/10!!!!

I originally switched to Shine Dental because my next door neighbor started working there and spoke highly of the office. I wasn't expecting to love this office as much as I do! It had been years since anyone in my family had been to the dentist and we quickly fell in love with everyone here.

Dr J has worked on both my young boys over the course of the last year treating cavities and having teeth pulled. He has always been incredibly patient and kind, with a little bit of humor thrown in, to them both and today was no different.

My oldest has SEVERE dental anxiety after a bad experience at another pediatric dental clinic in town to the point we had to put him under anesthesia the last time we had to have some fillings/crowns on because he closes up and refuses to allow anyone to work on his teeth. So to say I was nervous about our appointment today was an understatement.

Dr J was soooo patient with him as he needed to have a filing done and a tooth pulled. He explained every step of the process in detail down to the names of the equipment and products used. When my son's anxiety started to get the better of him during the procedure, he began to close up and cry. Dr J listened to him, asked him clarifying questions to help him move through his anxiety, even if that meant explaining everything again, and through his patience we were able to complete the treatment today with my sons willingness to actually do it! There was no forcing him to go through with it or holding him down to make it happen!

From the few experiences we've had with other offices, this had NEVER been our experience.

So incredibly grateful to Dr. J and his whole staff who have always been the most warm and enjoyable people to be around and who truly care about patient safety and security. We have found our dental home ❤️

Everyone here takes great care of you! They are so quick to make you feel comfortable and are constantly checking in to see how you’re doing. This goes from the initial consultation call to sitting down in the office chair to explain any procedures you may need some. Their membership plan is awesome for those without dental insurance. I’m truly glad I found them to boost my dental health. Shine Dental is by far the best experience I’ve had with any dental office!

Hello - I have been working with Shine Dental for the last 4 months or so. My experience with everyone there has been excellent! From the time you arrive, you are greeted and recognized by the receptionist, that has sent you the proper forms to complete via your email address. Don’t have to rush and complete them the 3 to 5 minutes you wait to be called back. The dental nurse was very nice, I felt like I was being pampered!!! When I met Dr. Justesen I could tell he is a nice man!!! He was extremely easy to visit with and as I had some bad and embarrassing teeth, I was made comfortable by both the Dr. and the whole other office team. I am going back to Shine Dental today for the fitting of my permanent dentures, I’m actually very excited today about getting my new and permanent teeth. Thanks to all the staff at Shine Dental for ensuring my visits have been flawlessly completed and I walk out today with a white smile on my face!!!!!

you guys!! i cannot even begin to tell you how incredible this whole experience was! i like so many others have a serious fear of going to the dentist… (like the kind of fear that makes you no go for years because it’s that terrifying to you) but the lovely people in this office made it a breeze! starting with the front desk staff they were warm and welcoming! there is upbeat music playing in the front office (and throughout the whole facility) that immediately took my mind off of the anxiety. loved that! then my hygienist was such a delight! we spent the majority of our time laughing and joking about everything but the communication and cleaning was incredible! i was in the loop of what things would feel like and why they felt that way so it was 100% less scary. i was offered a weighted blanked, warm easily oil towel, noise canceling head phones, and a few other things to make me feel more comfortable and relaxed but i didn’t end up needing any of them because the staff and doctor were so wonderful!! Dr. J was so calm and welcoming too! even offered me some advice on things not related to just my teeth! i would 100% recommend this dental office to anyone and everyone but especially those of us who have stress and anxiety around going to the dentist :) seriously you guys changed the way i feel about my dental visits and am looking forward to my next cleaning which is something i never in a million years thought i would say!! thank you to the moon and back!

I highly recommend Shine. The new technology that they have is unbelievable. All their staff is friendly and very welcoming. Dr Taylor Anderson goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with the work he has done on me. You can definitely tell that it’s not just about a paycheck for him he truly wants to help people. My husband sees Dr. Steven Justesen and from what he has told me that he is amazing as well. I don’t think you can go wrong either way as long as you go to Shine. Definitely use the massage chair in the waiting room. It’s life-changing.

I love Shine Dental! I hadn't been to the dentist in, way to long to mention... and I ended up having an emergency tooth issue. They were able to get me in the same day and were SO kind. I have always had a fear of the dentist but they made me feel so comfortable and safe. It was such a positive experience for me and has changed my feelings towards going to the dentist. My mother-in-law recently moved to Bozeman and hadn't established care with anyone yet, but had an urgent issue with her teeth. Shine was awesome to work with, they were willing to get her in to be seen right away. She also has anxiety about going to the dentist and they were so gentle and caring and totally eased her mind about being at the dentist. Dr. J and his team are seriously amazing! Best dentist experience I’ve ever had. He did a couple fillings using the laser technology, with no anesthetic, and the entire thing was painless. I was actually very surprised! I’ve always dreaded going to the dentist because of past horrible experiences, but not now. Thank y'all so much! ❤️

2 weeks ago, I decided to start looking for my first dental care in 20 years. I called up Shine, and within a few hours I was in the dentist's chair. I nervously anticipated the litany of problems that were going to be made apparent and prepared myself for what I assumed would be a long and arduous journey to get my teeth fixed. Indeed, I had many problems that needed to be fixed. However, thanks to Dr. Taylor and his amazing and friendly team, my problems were fixed within 2 weeks and i feel better than ever! Thank you guys so much, you made my year! I cannot recommend this team enough, they will take care of you.

After trying many dentists in the valley, I finally found a great one! Dr. J and his staff are absolutely amazing! All of them! Special shout out to Aizey. She is the best dental assistant I have ever had. I needed to have a root canal done and I was terrified. They made me feel so at ease and wanted to help make me the most comfortable I could be. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I would definitely recommend Shine to anyone looking for a dentist. :)

Took me 17 years to finally get back to a dentist because of ridiculous anxiety that took over anytime I would go in for a visit. Dr. J and his team made sure I didn't feel guilty about the years in between visits. They make me feel so welcomed every time I go now. I went from crying to laughing with the Shine team.
Their Laser procedure for cavities is amazing. In and out with out being numbed.
Bonus points for the massage chair and the great sense of humor they all have.

Kylie and Dr. J made everything so comfortable and extremely easy to understand. They were real with me when it came to costs after my insurance only covered a smidge of the total. So they offered another helpful route so I can still move forward with my dental plans. Such a huge relief when finding a good dental hygienist! I highly recommend!

I’ve honestly never been a huge fan of the dentist mainly because I’ve always felt like I was being judged on the condition of my teeth. So for many years I didn’t go and my teeth fell apart on me. When I finally decided to have something done about it I did a bit of research and was really impressed with Shine’s reviews so I called them up and made my appointment.
When I got there they all the most friendly bunch of people in the world. They did not make me feel judged or bad about my teeth at all. In fact after everything was done I felt very confident and extremely happy with the whole experience. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.

This was quite possibly the most pleasant dentist visit I’ve ever had. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 2 years, so I needed a pretty in-depth cleaning. Ashley (I think that was her name. Sorry if I’m wrong!) was amazing at making me feel comfortable the entire time. She also made a point to actually explain to me what and why she was doing everything. As someone who loves to be in control, this made me super happy! The exam was also quick and painless. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and I feel weird saying this, but this dentist trip made my day (I don’t get much human interaction working from home)!

I also wanted to point out that they have weighted blankets, noise cancelling headphones, and other comfort items to help with people who have anxiety at the dentist. Very cool!

*Editing to say that I have now had another dental emergency, and once again they fit me in within the hour! Unheard of. And so kind. Thank you Shine!

Shine worked incredibly hard to get me in the morning I called, and did the work way less invasively and at a third of the price.
